The Minority Corporate Counsel Association (MCCA), one of the legal profession’s premier diversity and inclusion organizations, has named Haynes and Boone, LLP Partner Purvi Patel Albers a recipient of its 2022 MCCA Rainmakers Award.
The Rainmakers Award honors attorneys who have achieved success through innovative, consistent, and proactive business development. The MCCA was founded in 1997 to champion the hiring, retention, and promotion of diverse attorneys in corporate law departments and law firms.
This marks the second consecutive year that a Haynes Boone lawyer has been honored by the MCCA, which selected Partner Albert Tan for the 2021 Rainmakers Award.
“Purvi has had a remarkable career at Haynes Boone, playing an instrumental role in the success and growth of our Trademark Practice — and of the firm overall,” said Managing Partner Taylor Wilson. “We are thrilled for Purvi and proud that we have had two lawyers claim this prestigious honor over the past two years.”

Purvi is a member of the firm’s board of directors and serves as trusted adviser and counsel to Fortune 500 companies and high-growth ventures on the management of their valuable brand investments. Managing Intellectual Property named her among the Top 250 Women in IP in 2022. Managing IP also ranked her as an IP Star (Trademark) in 2022 and shortlisted her as one of the nation’s leading Trademark Prosecution practitioners in 2022.
In the community and at Haynes Boone, Purvi consistently offers guidance and support to others, saying the best piece of advice she has received in her career is to “pay it forward.” She served on the task force formed to improve Haynes Boone’s hiring and retention of diverse, and particularly, Black attorneys. She participates in conferences and speaking engagements designed to enhance DEI, including the South Asian Bar Association Leadership Institute. She also mentors Haynes Boone trademark associates and lateral attorneys and continuously looks for opportunities for them to further their professional development.
Purvi also is an avid supporter of the arts and education. She serves on the Executive Committee and Board of Directors for The Arts Community Alliance, which provides visionary leadership to the arts community, and Dallas Theater Center, a major regional theater in Dallas. She has also served on the DEAI Task Forces for both non-profits.
